Members of the Training Committee will evaluate completed applications (including transcripts and reference letters)
received by the due date. Applicants who meet all the criteria
after their files are reviewed by members of the Training Committee,
and who are selected to be interviewed, will be notified on Dec. 15th
by e-mail. Interviews will be scheduled for January 22 & 23, and 26 & 27, 2009. These may be onsite or by phone. On campus visits other
than interviews may be arranged with the Training Director as
her schedule permits; however, selections will be made based on
the formal interview process. Multiple visits are discouraged
in an attempt to curb costs and to keep the selection process
as equitable as possible. Contact with current and past interns
is an avenue for applicants to gain information about the training
program at the Counseling and Testing Center. Please be aware
that one of the current interns will be serving as a member of
the selection committee. She/he may elect to limit her/his contact
with applicants so as not to bias her/himself in the screening
process.
After Match Day has occurred, persons having interviewed for this
site should expect to receive a feedback survey of their experience
with our site. Your candor is greatly appreciated and the information
received is used to further refine our materials, learn about
the perceptions of the program, and learn about how the selection
process has gone for the candidates.
The frequency or duration of contacts with the Training Director
or representatives of the training program do not constitute an
overt or covert commitment of a position at this internship site.
Information, in addition to that supplied in the application or
on the resume, may be solicited for purposes of clarification.
