Instructions for Internship Application:

Applicants for internship must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in counseling, clinical, or professional psychology. They must have completed all of the doctoral coursework and supervised practica by the beginning of internship and have satisfactorily completed comprehensive examinations by the interview date. Approval of dissertation or project proposal is preferred. All materials must be available on-line by the end of the due date of Thursday, November 12, 2009.

We will review the following for consideration for the internship positions at Western Michigan University, University Counseling and Testing Center;

  1. Completed APPI online found on the APPIC Web site at www.appic.org. This now includes your curriculum vita and graduate transcripts.

  2. Three (3) letters of reference. At least two letters must be from licensed psychologists who have supervised your clinical work. References should reflect your most recent work if possible.

  3. A cover letter explaining why you believe you would be a good fit with the internship program here at Western. Be specific about your goals for internship as well as for your future as a psychologist, and how our program, in particular, will help you meet these goals. It should be at least 300 words. Be sure to include your e-mail address. It is important that you follow these instructions or your application may be disqualified.

 

ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS must be available for review on NOVEMBER 12, 2009.
