Paula's doctorate is in Counseling Psychology and she did her
predoctoral internship in Clinical Psychology from Pine Rest Christian
Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Her clinical interests include dual
diagnosis, family of origin issues with particular emphasis on
survivors of sexual abuse and adult children of alcoholics, spiritual
development, sex therapy and training and supervision. Dr. Andrasi
has worked for hospitals, state agencies, private clinics, and
had her own private practice before joining the faculty at Western.
Victoria (Tory) Cane

Tory is completing a doctoral degree in counseling psychology at Western Michigan University. She has worked on the dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) team at Interact of Michigan addressing self-harming and suicidal behavior and integrates DBT principles into other areas of clinical work. Clinical and research areas of interest include GLBT-affirmative therapy, eating disorders, and survival of trauma. Tory's theoretical orientation might best be described as cognitive-behavioral underscored by person-centered, psychodynamic, and feminist principles. She strongly believes in viewing the client holistically, using the context of culture, personal development, and multiple dimensions of identity.
Joetta
L. Carr

Joetta is a clinical psychologist who counsels students, conducts
research on sexual aggression and rape prevention, and creates programs
to assist students. She has conducted therapy groups in sexual assault,
eating disorders and anxiety disorders and serves as a member of
our Eating Disorders Treatment Team. Joetta is also very active
in the doctoral intern training program, where she supervises and
trains interns in counseling and psychology. She has developed interest
and expertise in treating sexual trauma, sexual dysfunction, eating
disorders, depression and anxiety, and development issues. Joetta
enjoys counseling college students and assisting them with their
challenges. She has twenty years of experience in private practice
and has taught psychology at WMU.

John spent six years working as a school psychologist in Western New York before receiving his generalist training as a clinical psychologist. His interests include individual psychotherapy, systems consultation, test construction and statistical research. His clinical orientation is influenced by social constructionism and cognitive-behavioral theories. John also provides consultative services to the University community and Kalamazoo community at large for test construction and program/outcome research issues.
Shuko Fujisaki

Shuko is currently working on getting her doctorate degree in counseling psychology from Gannon University in Erie Pennsylvania. Her areas of interests are international students and multicultural issues. During her doctoral training, she has worked with clients with suicidal ideation and it has also become one of her areas of interest. Her master's degree is in art therapy and counseling from Ursuline College. Her theoretical orientation is integrative.
Shamika Y. Hall

Shamika earned her doctorate in counseling psychology and is a limited licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan. She has worked primarily in a university counseling center setting, but has also worked and trained in private practice and private outpatient settings conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for Child Protective Services. She has been an expert witness in a child custody case and has also spent time working in geropsychology. She has completed ADHD and neuropsychological assessments for children and adults with brain trauma. She completed her internship at Florida State University's Counseling Center. While at Florida State University, she provided individual, couple, and group counseling. She was a consultant to the staff at Victim Advocacy and presented many outreach programs in time management, stress management, self-esteem, and personal relationships. She also has experience with career counseling. Her professional interests include couple's counseling, psychological testing, adjustment issues, and group therapy. She has lead and co-led interpersonal process and psycho-educational groups. Her theoretical orientation is integrative in nature and includes interpersonal, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral theories.
Warren Lambert

Warren earned his first master's degree in clinical psychology at Marshall University, and is now an advanced doctoral student at Fielding Graduate University. He is also a licensed psychological associate in the state of Kentucky. He has worked in both community college education (as a professor), as well as community mental health (as a therapist). His professional interests include mood disorders, clinical training in rural populations, traumatic brain injury and outreach. His theoretical orientation is integrative, with strong influences from psychodynamic and interpersonal perspectives.
Kathryn J. Lewis-Ginebaugh

Kathy is a clinical psychologist who worked for over ten years
in the Counseling Center at Eastern Michigan University before
coming to WMU in September of 2002. She completed her graduate
degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and finished
her pre-doctoral internship at Ball State University Counseling
Center in Muncie, Indiana. Her interests include individual and
group intervention with trauma survivors, sexual and physical
assault, training and supervision, anxiety disorders, and grief
and loss. Her clinical orientation is dynamic/integrative. Kathy
has taught many undergraduate and graduate level courses, and
also has worked in: private practice, an adolescent drug rehabilitation
center, community mental health, and on an inpatient psychiatric
unit. Kathy is the Co-Director of the Suicide Prevention Grant.

Elaine's doctorate is in clinical psychology, and she is a fully
licensed psychologist in the State of Michigan. She is active
in several divisions of the American Psychological Association.
Her clinical interests include eating disorders, relationships,
grief issues, depression, divorce adjustment, and women's issues.
Elaine also enjoys supervising graduate students. She is a team
member of the University's Eating Disorder Treatment Clinic. Her
clinical orientation is integrative/eclectic. Prior to joining
the University Counseling Center, Elaine worked as a psychologist
in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, a community mental health
clinic, and the public schools.
Glinda Rawls

Glinda holds a master of education degree in college student affairs from Grand Valley State University and earned a second master's degree in college counseling from Western Michigan University. She also holds a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Western Michigan University. She completed the requirements for a specialization in school counseling and is a licensed school counselor in the State of Michigan. Glinda worked in the local public schools as a school counseling intern and has previously worked in various positions in academic and student affairs. She also has worked at two public universities providing career counseling services to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni. Glinda has taught and co-taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in career development and exploration, career counseling, multicultural counseling, and freshman seminar. Her research interests are in the following areas: career, college, and school counseling, student affairs, multicultural issues and supervision. Glinda's theoretical orientation is integrative and interpersonal with an Adlerian base. Glinda is a member of several professional counseling organizations.
Mark St. Martin

He has previously worked in community mental health centers in Morgantown, West Virginia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His interests include working with the Career Guidance Inventory (CGI), career/life decision making and related issues, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, exercise as a preventative measure and treatment option, performance issues, relational difficulties, life adjustments and transitions, as well as supervising and training. Mark's theoretical orientation is integrative with a cognitive-behavioral base.

Delores is a licensed psychologist in the State of Michigan as
well as the State of Illinois. In addition to being a full-time
staff psychologist in the University Counseling Center she also
has a collaborative relationship with the University's Multicultural
Affairs Office. Her current research interests include human sexuality
and the developmentally disabled, juvenile sex offenders, and
cultural diversity. Delores' theoretical orientation is influenced
by cognitive-behavioral and behavioral theories. Dr. Walcott is the Primary Investigator of the Suicide Prevention Grant.
Evelyn
B. Winfield

Evelyn earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology. She
completed her predoctoral internship at Henry Ford Health System
in Detroit and a postdoctoral training program at University of
Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services in Ann Arbor. Evelyn
has trained as a generalist in a variety of settings including
community mental health, hospital/medical center, university clinical
and counseling centers, correctional facility, and nonprofit human
services. Her theoretical orientation is integrative/eclectic,
and her clinical interests are relationship, family of origin,
grief/loss, eating disorders, career decision-making, and transitional/adjustment
issues. Evelyn's current research interests include sexual risk
taking, exercise and preventive health behaviors, body image issues
and sociocultural correlates of behavior.
Cindy
Town
Administrative Assistant/Office Coordinator
Cindy has been an employee of Western Michigan
University since November of 1978, and has worked within the Division
of Student Affairs the entire time. She began her employment in
Placement Services (now Career and Student Employment Services),
and after 11 years moved to the University Counseling and Testing
Center. Cindy's current responsibilities to the Center include;
coordinating work assignments and supervising support staff and student employees, informing new employees of their responsibilities
for office and intake procedures, management of the Center's confidential
client record system, budget monitoring and billing, assisting
the department administration (Director, Assistant Director and
Training Director) in any facets of department operations that
may arise, along with assisting department colleagues in daily
operations. When necessary, Cindy can also assist in coordinating
student referrals to the Center.
Renee Smith
Coordinator for UCTC
Renee is currently serving as the go to person for Titanium and other computer problems and concerns. She serves as back up for the front desk and is supervisor to Mary Escobedo and is available for front line concerns. She also provides back up for Cindy Town in her absence. She does a little bit of everything and can find the answer for most of your questions if she doesn't have it initially. Her duties also include administering national standardized exams on campus including the ACT, GRE, SAT, LSAT, TOEFL, and MCAT.
Mary came to Western Michigan University in 1998, working at Sindecuse Health Center in the Business Office as a medical scheduler. She accepted a position at UCTC in March of 2005. Mary's primary duties include scheduling appointments for the Center faculty/staff, along with greeting and assisting students and visitors. Mary is involved in PSSO and has participated on their annual spring luncheon and holiday social committees as co-chair of the door prize and entertainment committees. Mary served on the President's Multi Cultural Diversity Committee, chairing several sub-committees. She is also a proctor for national standardized exams on campus including ACT, SAT, LSAT, TOEFL and MCAT.
